returned to the ski shoppes to get some extra as we've heard where we're going is now -15º

unfortunately plenty londoners fearing the local cold snap have panic bought up ALL supplies of silk snoods and glove liners from london winter sports shoppes

despite this, the pavements of london were noticeably devoid of people today.


had a great meeting with my tv agent jessica and one other, regarding the tv show i wrote before christmas which MIGHT have legs.

there are SO many moments at which a good idea can stumble in (TV)development: it's best not to get too excited about anything until you're actually filming and have a transmission date.

RTF to meet up with farm-sitters mum-mum and dad-dad and to finish packing for skiing in french alps, NY, LA and the job in london the day after i return.

so excited i feel like i might burst.
the only flip side of this being, i  probably will.

abandoned the office: today it was -1ºc outside at the farm and 0ºc inside my office.
it was so cold the laser printer declared it had a fatal error because it couldn't get up to temperature.

fortunately MY error isn't fatal and the heated seats in the mini got me back up to temperature

formal dining for lunch at SH with lyndsey price which was lovely: good to catch up & scheme.

had to ask joe for malt vinegar (for me chips)
the waiter and chef in the restaurant refused to acknowledge the need / existence of malt vinegar on the premises.

british people like malt vinegar on their chips.
why is that so unclassy?

i think i might still be jet-lagged?

by 7.30pm this evening i was in bed struggling to keep my eyes open.

the underfloor heating in the office is fuckered again.

me and maria have been taking it in turns to hug an electric radiator between our legs.

warmer than usual groins, freezing cold hands.

 
maximum still ill, of course.
his being able to come skiing with us on saturday is looking unlikely: terribly sad news for us, and him.

i'm so cold i can't think straight.
