temper trap at the lexington

woke up in chiswick.
stopped at andy's american car garage and put '1st dibs' on the 1981 corvette stingray they've almost finished restoring.
photographed 'manic street preachers' at the gibson (guitar) live rooms.
although we have mutual friends, this was the first time i've met them.
had a short but happy shoot.
discussing marilyn manson, cars, the london tafia and stationary.
stopped at SH for tea and biscuits.
then got myself to 'hades' (aka TOPSHOP) to photograph 'sir philip green' and some topshop 'style advisers'.
had two hours to set up.
then sir philip was an hour and a half late.
subsequently spent way too long in topshop.
this was compounded by all the hopefully looking young ladiz looking at me like i might be able to change their lives with the camera round my neck: there's a weird scene there with girls getting dressed up to get spotted by all the model scouts loitering there.
300,000 people shop in top shop on oxford street every WEEK!
topshop opens in NY in 3 weeks.
beware.
dinner at SH with che, miranda, frances and her friend siobhan.
then 'temper trap' live at the lexington on pentonville road.
rammed.
good to see them play a nice small (pub) venue before they kick off an arena tour soon(ish).
johnny plays bass like no other.
i overheard more than one person say 'fine young cannibals' but also 'delores from the cranberries'...?

back to farm late to find mrs.perou still up and speckled white where she's been painting new wardrobes.
