eye eye

cut the grass on the front lawns before breakfast and before the rain cut in.

DTT.

called in at andy's and sat in the corvette for a while.

met kevin: who used to assist alastair thain and terry richardson.

now bizarrely he sprays cars.

discussed doing the corvette satin (matt with a teeny shine) black.

on the way to meet sara (dunn) for lunch walked past a building site and caught some kind of dust or vapour (?) in the left eye (under my safety shades).

it was like someone had put acid in my eye.

it was so painful and if i shut my eye it was worse.

i stumbled down the street, calling sara to say sorry i was going to have to cancel lunch as i needed to go to moorfields eye hospital urgently.

with my eye streaming i ducked into a deli.

bought what i thought was water and on the street, started flushing my eye not caring that i was suited and booted.

the pain got worse for a while...then better.

i realised i was washing my eye out with sparkling water not still water which wasn't helping.

now my eye is fine and i have NO idea what the problem was.

phew

had lunch with sara at SH.

then had a meeting in hammersmith about a book i'm doing the pictures for.

(not my book: someone else's)

and returned to farm, imagining myself driving a matt black 1981 corvette stingray.

packed ferociously as tomorrow i (hopefully) will be posting from 'put your hands up for' detroit.
