so much there.
tried to just concentrated on the first world war.

the V2 rocket was most frightening.
and terrible thinking about the 1000 that landed on england
and about the 20,000 concentration camp slaves who died in the manufacture of them.

DEVIL

DEVIL

left the museum with a real feeling of sadness re: the inginuity of man devising better and more efficient ways of killing each other.

i can never really get my head round the 2nd world war and what it must have been like to have lived through it/ died in it.

i'm almost a pacifist
i have avoided this museum for a long while: i didn't want to glorify battles and wars with my children.
but this museum is actually really good at just presenting the facts and leaving you to come to conclusions.

had lunch at 'anatolia' in hackney central: a turkish restaurant i used to frequent, and introduced the sons to great turkish food.

maximum double ordered his new favourite: the not-so-turkish 'fried haloumi'

RTF stuffed

put up the mustang P51 fighters that spin round the ceiling, in circles, in both son's bedrooms
spent a while looking at victorian bulldogs online
and retired early to watch 'the bridge'.
