the tramadol abuse continues...

today i finally got the MRI results (just over a month after getting the MRI, 10 weeks after getting an MRI booked)

apparently i have a trapped nerve in my neck, a partially torn tendon in my shoulder, inflamation on a muscle in my shoulder and fluid in my shoulder joint.

'you need to see a shoulder specialist' says herr doktor

'great.' i say '...how long on the NHS?'

'we're currently working on getting patients seen in a minimum of...18 weeks' says herr doktor

'i'm going private' says me.

i can NOT wait another 18 weeks to get seen before another undisclosed about of weeks before treatment.

it's great having an NHS: both our sons were delivered with incredible skill and care by NHS doctors

but there's no point in having an NHS that is too busy to treat you when you need it.

i feel incredibly lucky that i can afford to go private.
i feel incredibly troubled for anyone who can't afford to go private.

let's sort out the NHS
