DIY day

started early on whistle stop tour of mole country store (for dog food), screwfix (for a new drill: thankyou mum-mum and dad-dad), morrisons (for half my food shopping), waitrose (for fresh oregano), asda (for a usb car charger but they were sold out) and B&Q (for MDF and screws)

dumped all at farm and sped to local pool for maximum and z's first water polo session.

which was great

z looked so small compared to everyone else: he seems so big on his own usually

we watched as 20 mins of non-stop treading water in the deep end took it's toll and z's happy face turned to tears.

but after a little rest at the side of the pool, he joined back in for the match: champion.

tough that water polo, but good.

built shelves in maximum's room

i'm good at DIY but i don't enjoy it.

it kind of annoys me: it's not manual labour (which i do enjoy) and it's not too creative: lies somewhere in-between: kind of a nothing activity.

did entertain myself by cooking steaks with a superb home-mixed chimichurri sauce though: mmmm
