whoops apocalypse

storm ophelia brings saharan dust to the skies over blighty

and it's summer hot instead of autumn cool

spent the day at new (very old) house

helping the old owners move out (some more: this will be a long process: they've been there 37yrs and 'collecting' all that time)

discovered today that the sprung maple wooden floor in the old ballroom (our new bedroom) has had carpet tiles GLUED to it

but also discovered that there IS a gas supply tot he building after all: the old lady of the house just removed the meter some years ago as she didn't want gas.

caused a short rail incident (stopping trains running on the london to dover line: sorry folks)

it was considered by rail employees that i was about to kill myself under a train:

i was sitting on our wall, pulling ivy off the top of it, clearing space for the razor wire fence we're installing.

today was the first day i was in our new home alone and it felt GREAT.

had the back doors open and a warm apocalyptic breeze flowed well through the building

there are no motorbikes in the house now

and 30% of what was here has gone

hopefully 10% more that's going to the old owners' new bungalow by next week

then the other 60% will go in the week: into a dump truck.

today was fuelled by orange lucozade and jaffa cakes

after a full day at the house, returned home for some home cooked food

then DTT delirious and aching: muscles trying to remember they are muscles

haven't ached like this since we flipped the bunker
