9 is blissfully unaware of his label mate's celebratory day, as he basks in the sun by the window.

he clearly likes people: he's chosen to lie down next to one of my two human skulls

lucy doesn't like these real human skulls: they once housed real human minds

now they remind me of our mortality and that we need to live each day as fully as possible

one was also the template for our wedding rings (in which is written 'TILL DEATH' but now I wish read 'EVEN AFTER DEATH')

I doubt whoever lived in this skull expected to be on my window sill in 2019
