triumph dolomite

after a long shoot in turin, packed up kit and got driven to a training ground 'somewhere outside of milan' where we pre-lit in the cold till late.

spent a few hours in a converted nunnery(?) trying to sleep in a single bed, encumbered by the barking dog and the bell tower chiming the hour every hour through the night.

but at 6am woke to pink light over the dolomites in the distance

back to the training ground for a split shift shoot: morning and afternoon with a three hour break.

we spent the entire day getting static electricity shocks from EVERYthing we touched: the camera. the lights, the iPod, each other.

this caused the remote triggers for the lights to misfire and the cameras to crash.

after striking the set and backing up drives, got driven for a while back to milan malpensa airport and flew back to blighty

deliriously tired in the back on an add-lee (cab) i had to concentrate on not throwing up, saying to myself, 'in two days we'll be skiing'

my second car was a pale mustard yellow, triumph dolomite.

i blew the engine driving without coolant
