today z was enrolled into a local cub scouts.

weirdly this means we have to travel from the rural idyll to an urban conurbation

seeing z enrol brought a load of happy memories flooding back to me.

it wasn't the same: couldn't be the same as it was for me

but it was good to see z grinning and playing active games in a group.

however much you enjoy computer games, sitting in a darkened room, there's rarely a moment when you're actually laughing with the fun of it.
