happy thanksgiving

happy thanksgiving

<< previous     next >>

i'm slightly embarrassed to mention that i've repeatedly invited myself back for thanksgiving at my friends bill and zep's family's dos since i was first invited four or five years ago.

zep is armenian and her family do the BEST food (ever) and they're lovely people.
every year they throw a big old feast with a ridiculously large amount of very delicious grub.

today there were only 45 for lunch.

thanksgiving with bill and zep is one of the happiest days of my social calender.
their family always make me (and frances twice now) very welcome.

i'm envious of their huge family and the bond they have together.
family's a good thing.
miss my own.
wish mrs.perou and the kiddas could have been here too.

almost everyone assumes that frances is mrs.perou and has to be corrected.
me, mrs.p and the boys will return in easter.
(coincidentally another time for a big armenian feasty...)

blll

blll

is one of my best friends
sometimes known affectionally as 'mad bill'.

he was hit in the face with an old fashioned cash register back in the early 90's, whilst working as a bouncer in chicago.

steve

bill's brother in law.

i don't know how he lost his tooth, but i see a pattern forming...

jake and pitbull

jake and pitbull
jake is bill's son (and my mate: old ahead of the 9 years he's been here)

featured with 'penny'(?) the 'blue' pitbull.
she was a beautiful bitch but ALL power and quite scary despite being so friendly.

pitbull's aren't staffs.
can't blame the dog but a lot of people who own pitbulls tell me their dogs are a bit 'cynical'.
i wouldn't be comfortable leaving me kiddas alone with a pitbull.

CSI

CSI

after stuffin ourselves stoopid on turkey etc... (which apparently contains a chemical that makes you sleepy) drove over to some hills nearby to meet manson and dita at eric szmanda's bling house...for ANOTHER thanksgiving meal.

now americans that welcome us into their homes to celebrate thanksgiving with them, are missing something: they're celebrating liberation from the english...but here we are weedling our way back in: HA!

even drinking champagne was difficult (no room at the stomach inn) but we managed a little.
i even squeezed a bit more turkey down for pudding.

i'd met eric before (at manson and dita's wedding).
he was a friendly host.

emilie de ravin was also there: she's pretty, and tiny.

after the further turkey stuffing, followed manson and dita back to their place (with their knowledge: not as stalkers) and spent some hours hanging out.

today's diary entries going on so long: i'll post tomorrow what manson gave me tonight.
