me and bab's wedding photo

photo:ms hood

i feel sick looking at pictures of myself currently: and it's annoying that all the picturs are so 2d: you don't get a sense of the texture of my skin.
i look like a less green 'fungus the bogeyman'.
or like i'm wearing some full body fantasy/horror prosthetics.

so here's a more cheerful picture of me and babs which i had to hold till the storyline in 'eastenders' caught up.
for any confused folk not from these parts: barbra windsor is an beloved actress: part of the british institution.

she's probably as famous now for being 'peggy mitchell' in eastenders (a uk soap) as she was when she did all the 'carry on...' films back in the day.
lovely woman.
tiny feet.

this picture's for my (eastenders fan) mum.
we're not really getting married.
i'm not going to be in eastenders.
although me and frances were both trying to get in the backgrounds for some shots.
apparently, we'd stand out too much.
and that was said pre my leprosy.

i was starting to (hoping) that i'd seen the worst of this chickenpox yesterday.
but then i realised that despite shivering cold, i was way too hot.
took ibruprofen and paracetemol and ate an ice lolly.
after 10 minutes of trying to cool down from the meltdown, i was still 40.2º

had a cold bath.
returned to 'normal'.

thankyou to everyone with their suggestions on how to ease the pain/scratching/horror of chcikenpox.
or just kind words...
or just words.
unfortunately nothing was really working
till i found THIS website and the double helpful forum.

EURAX cream has saved me from ripping my own face off.
basically it numbs you.
and mrs.perou has applied it liberally all over me.
and i haven't had an itch since first application.
miracle cream and/or lotion
SO pleased to have found it.
if you're ever unfortunate enough to have adult chickenpox, get several bottles of this in first.

slept well last night, only getting up once.
today, my kidneys hurt.
i've got a whole load more spots especially on my nose and around my eyes.

but now there is hope.
