yesterday, the swimming amidst the huge crashing waves was the most exhilarating thing i've done in a long while.
the sun even came out.
left the beach house at 5.15am and we were back at farm by 9.15am, stopping once for gas and twice for z to up-chuck

when z was pulling a strange face at maximum, maximum called him a 'weirdo'
z replied angrily, 'i'm not a woman whose husband has died: i'm NOT a widdow'
z calls gobstoppers, 'GODstoppers'
z said, 'robin hood was an inlaw not an outlaw...because outlaws are bad and robin hood was good.
z calls the herbaceous border, 'the horatio border'

i am often at the receiving end of this disparaging look.
there was a time when mrs.perou and friends were talking about writing a 'photographers' wives' (like 'footballers' wives)
apparently we're not the easiest men to live with
