to the reading festival with mrs.perou and sons, to see 'young guns' play main stage.

but get stopped at security because of my (snappy) camera

'what about everyone with camera phones?', i wonder

'it's because your lens is over 35mm', says the unhelpful security putting away his ruler

'never been told my lens is too big before', i mutter

agree to leave my camera in the band's dressing room instead of having it confiscated.

met up with cousin james who was knee deep in polaroids, shooting for the NME

chose not to watch the 'young guns' side-stage, so we could enjoy the sound and show better out front.

band played a rocking, energetic set.

(ALMOST as good as the last time we saw them play: on the roof of the bunker and this time with slightly LESS pyrotechnics)

after their performance, went back with sons where we all conveyed our enjoyment of the gig.

band's manager asked z what his favourite band is, he correctly said 'young guns'

'pap' i mean, 'pappa roach' played after
me and sons agreed that their lead singer can't sing and looks like a tattooed, fat, old lady.

remembered today that i took stratford, our staffordshire bull terrier to reading festival once.
and when the security had issues with me having the only dog on site, i said it was manson's dog and i was just looking after him and they left me alone.

mrs.perou wanted to see 'clean bandit' so we did for a while

walking around the site, a girl shouted 'DAD' at me
i'm hoping this is because i was holding z's hand, not because i look like an old glimmer.

almost said, 'shut up i've been coming to the reading festival since before you were born'

but i guess that's her point...
